Catapulted into the photography world fascinated more by the object itself than by artistic ambitions, after years of digital experiments in motorsport I feel the need to take a new path.
So it is that in the last two years I decide to slow down and eliminate everything superfluous: the roaring engines gradually give way to silent mountain walks and the discovery of cosmopolitan Venice from where, although referring to a moment of passage and leisure, I can pick up the moods coming from every ethnic group.
About the technical part I decide to drastically downsize weights and encumbrances using mainly a mirrorless camera with 35mm, reducing the use of photo editing to the bare minimum and expressing myself largely with monochrome language.
Of our time, I try to document everyday life in a tendentially “benevolent” manner: it saddens me to think that posterity in the future will idealize us as a generation founded only on false appearances and selfies.
